A Program of the Town of Milford and the United Way of Tri-County

JAG Youth Council and New AmeriCorps Member at the MYC!

Over 20 youth have attended the first month of JAG Youth Council meetings of the year at the MYC! JAG Youth Council members have already helped with our Halloween Party and with picking up leaves up in front of the MYC! We are so excited to continue working with our leadership group to look for ways to help the Center and the larger community!
The JAG Youth Council meets every Wednesday form 4-5 pm at the Milford Youth Center. We are also very excited to congratulate Victoria Williams for being selected as our Social Capital Inc. AmeriCorps member! Victoria will be serving at the Center for the next 10 months, as a Youth Leadership coordinator, completing over 1700 hours of service! Victoria is an after school and JAG Youth Council alumni, along with the 2015 United Way of Tri-County “Youth Volunteer of the Year” award winner! We are so excited and proud of Victoria for this amazing opportunity! Victoria will be running the JAG Youth Council, under the leadership of the  Juvenile Advocacy Group  and Milford Youth Center!
The JAG Youth Council is a group of young Milford Youth Center members, in the town of Milford, that are striving to make a difference in the community by facilitating different youth community events and taking part in volunteer opportunities. The JAG Youth Council has started the popular “Find Yourself Friday” youth event series, which has drawn over 100 students to each event, among many other events. The JAG Youth Council works in cooperation with the Juvenile Advocacy Group and the Milford Youth Center.
